Right, in the preferences choose "other." Then below that, choose the best selection that describes your device. Good luck! Joe |

Did you install the drivers for the mpc? To check to see if it's installed, go to "Device Manager" on your computer. If you don't see it under "sound and video" (or something like that) or if it has a yellow mark, then the computer doesn't recognize it. Try reinstalling the mpc drivers, or go to their site and try different drivers. If you have xp, I can show you how to get to the device manager. Hang in there. I found this by googling: How to use mpc-2500 with reason. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/rap-h...eason-4-a.html There are more links as well. Joe |

im actually using Mac OS X 10.5.5. Why would the midi keyboard trigger the sounds from reason no problem while its while hooked to the mpc via midi?? To me thats kinda strange but maybe theres a update or driver issue with reason thats not allowing it to recognize a mpc2500... |

Because Reason is getting the signal from your keyboard, not the mpc. Sorry but I know nothing about a mac. You need to figure out if the mac has the drivers installed. Don't know how to do this on a mac. Once the mac recognizes the mpc, then it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe someone else who uses a mac can be more of a help. Did you check out any of the links I posted? Joe |
