| I want to use my laptop running Reason and my MIDI controller keyboard as a live performance keyboard rig. I'll be using rhodes and organ sounds, synth pads and leads, as well as few synth basses (want the low end to come through). I'm in a band with drums, 2 guitars and bass. How do I go about amping this setup live? Do most bands that use laptops live just run them through the venue's house PA? Anyone out there use their laptop in a live gigging band care to share? Thanks for your time. |

I usually will run through the house PA, if its decent enough. Otherwise its through my guitar amp (a 1X12) which doesn't always rock the bass sufficiently. So unless the PA is total crap, run through it. A DI is usually nice...
