| I was wondering a couple of things ..., is it worth the job , to convert the language.dll to lets say Dutch ? I want to , if possible , open up the german.dll , and translate it to Dutch , and save it as the german.dll ... so when german is chosen as language , it will show the Dutch translation ... Is this possible ? or illegal ??, and off course worth the Job ? (dont wanna keep myself busy for 6 months ... lol) And my final Question is , i do have "Resource Hacker" , which is a program to open dll files , and save the changes made ... is this enough to do the job ? Thanks in advance ! Greetzzzzzzzzzz Remy aka SCEZ http://www.soundclick.com/sceznl (PS it aint for myself though ... If the possibilty exsists to choose between Dutch and English , i always choose english ...dunno why though ... lol) |

I think, it's not legal and you shouldn't put the file on your homepage, but sharing the translated dll with friends wouldn't hurt, i think. If it's worth: I'm from germany, but I prefer the english interface, because 1. many terms in reason are common for musicians and should be absolutely no problem to understand (if you have already understood reason itself) and 2. the translated terms often need more space, so that they don't fit in the places or had to be abbreviated (which is awful to read and even less good to understand than even the original english terms). |

I guess you're right about the fact that some terms are much better to understand then when its translated ... I took a quick peek in the dll , and it scared me a lill'bit , lol ... , aint gonna rewrite the bible !! I guess i leave it this way , and going to tell peeps who have problems reading English / German / French / or Japanese ... to take a language lesson first ... Thanks alot for your reply Igoa ! you can try with hexplorer program is free, but nah it will require more work and head scratching, for me it's useless, it is ok in English for me, but really you can use this program to see and replace the text, but i don't know if it will work ok.

And what iGoA said : It's better in English ... (I dont have any problem writing/reading english , that also goes for the technical terms ... ) I recieve alot of questions about Reason , but thats cos of the fact the users who asking me things dont read English very well ... , so my thoughts were to translate the dll ... but what i said , thats wiped away on my "to-do-list" ... they better learn some english then ... Thanks for the reply's ! Greetzzzzzzzzzzz Remy aka SCEZ http://www.soundclick.com/sceznl |
