Default Undelete?

I'm afraid I already know the answer to this but I hope I'm wrong. I accidently deleted a track in Reason that I did not mean to. Is there any way to recover this track once Reason has been closed (can't use "Undo")?

I'm hoping for a good answer, but I'll take anything at this point so I can just stop searching the interwebs for a solution.

No if you closed something without saving it you're basically screwed, as far as I know.

SG is right, it's a gonner! I don't know how important the track is to you, or how much money you're willing to spend, but there is some good recovery software out there. About a year ago, I thought that I had lost most everything on my pc. I tried some of the recovery software (free trial that lets you see what's there, you just can't retrieve it until you pay up) and everything was still there. Luckily, I was able to do it myself (long story).

Thanks for the idea Joe! I'm not sure if the recovery will work because it seems like all sound files are self contained in the Reason file and may be unrecoverable, but I'm definitely going to try! The track was pretty important to me. I have no recollection of what notes I played or even what synth I used. It was a happy mistake that I may never get back.

Last night, I spent several hours going through every synth/sound combination to find the right sound but never came across it. I'm off to try a recovery program.

That's why it is important to back up your tracks. I have a spare internal hard drive and a couple of flash drives for this. You can pick up a 1-2gig flash drive for just a few bucks and they are perfect for backing up songs. I really don't know if you can recover your song or not, but it won't cost anything to try some of the free-trial downloadable programs and see if it's there. I found out that there is a wide varied price range for the recovery software, so dig into it and shop around for the best deal.
