Default Adding vocals through NN19 or NN-XT

what I do for my lryics make a wav file out of my reason music, load it into audacity then record lyrics. What i would like to do is then cut out the music track so i have just the lyrics and make a wav file out of the lyrics then load it back into reason. I tried loading it into the redrum but it has a time limit, 127, and the wav file for my lrycis usually exceeds the limit. Is there a way to load it into nn-xt or nn19, and if you can is there a limit as well? Any help would be much appreciated.

You can load it into the nnxt, just extend the nnxt with the little arrow at the bottom, and then click the load sample button to find your wav file. The only thing is you'll have to play the vocals from when you first hit your midi note that is assigned to the sample. Honestly, I dont know why anyone would want to handle audio like this, it's a nightmare lol.

I'd rather just rewire reason with a daw, and handle all the vocals and audio editing in the daw and use reason for it's sounds.

thanks that worked accept it plays a piano note at the begninng as well as starting the vocals. Is there a way to make it so it dosent play the note? Also what is a daw, is there any free ones. Its not that hard to do actually, just use the effects then edit automation on whatever effects you use and use bypass, but perhaps a daw is easier.

never mind i figured it out about the piano note, you just load initialize patch first and that clears it. I would still like to know about the daw though. Thanks again.

DAWs are programs like Protools, Ableton Live, Sonar, Logic, Acid Pro, Cubase etc.

If you're looking for a low cost quality one (which has a non crippling never ending trail by the way) then you should try reaper. It's fairly easy to use and very capable for most people's needs, also very stable.

I can't post links yet, but I saw a youtube tutorial where he added vocals using NN-XT and ReCycle 2.0.
