Default mod wheel help and loading wav samples into nn-19

Hello and thanks to all. I read what I could in the manual about setting up the mod wheel, but can't seem to figure out how to set it up. I want to be able to use the mod wheel to control volume/expression on various instruments like sax. There is a good thor patch that has it already set up, but I couldn't reverse it to set it up on, say nn-xt. Can anyone tell me how it can be done so that I can vary the volume on an instrument like a sax to give it some human feel

nn-19 wav file. I saw a video on how to scratch with reason and an axiom 25. I followed the set up, and loaded my "cheesy scratch" wav file a note on the nn-19, and the window says it's there. When I tried to play the note, the organ that was there before played on every single note, and no the wav would not play on any key. I am sure it's simple, but I pretty new to reason. Any help would be appreciated.

Q1. If you want to use the expression wheel as a volume controller, right click on the volume (AMP) and select Edit Remote Override Mapping. Now check where it says Learn from.......Now move any of the controllers on your keyboard. You'll see a green LED if it took.

Q2. The only time I scratch is when I itch. The nn-19 has a browser patch and a sample patch. If you're talking about the sample patch, make sure that you select a range, lowest key and highest key on the nn-19.

Also just want to add in on the nn19 situation, it sounds like you like loaded the sample on top of the organ patch. Now if that's because everytime you create a device it automatically loads a patch you can turn it off. Just go into reason's perferences and turn off "Load default sound in new devices"

Default Thanks

Based on these two responses, I was able to give my sax playing a bit more expression, and my scratches sound pretty good too. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
