| I'm a Reason newbie, and I'm just messing around with some stuff. I've recorded a piano riff from my keyboard, and really like how it sounds. However, the recording is just barely off meter (as in it fills a little more than 2 4/4 bars). I don't want to have to re-record it again... is there a way to "scale" everything back so that it fits in 2 measures without losing the rhythm? I've tried "quantizing" it, but it makes it sound really choppy and unnatural. Thanks! |

Cant you just select all the notes, adjust the length of them, then move them back? Or if you want to adjust more precisely then select your notes go to your tool window, and edit away under the note length section. |

That's kind of a pain... there are at least 30 notes, and that involves a lot of editing for something so simple. Here's an example, say i have notes like this (the bottom line isn't a note): Code: __
__
__
_________ Code: _
_
_
_________ I can manually shorten the lengths of all the notes, but that doesn't shorten the appropriate distance between the notes. This seems like something realllly simple and that has to be an option... |

Okay I see. What about using the tool window and scaling the tempo of the notes? (by double, half or whatever percent you want to)

Aha, that's exactly what I was looking for. I always completely forget that that little window is even there. Thanks!
