Default No Sound - New Installation w/Firewire 410 soundcard

Hi,

Just installed Reason 3.0, but I can't hear any sound. Silly question, but which soundcard do I choose from the preferences menu. Is it DX Firewire 410 Multi, MME Firewire 410 Multi, or ASIO M-Audio 410 ASIO?

I have a Firewire 410 soundcard...

Pls Help!!!

Thanks!

warning: plug your fire-wire unit only when your computer is turned off, never on the way. First plug it an then turn on all the system, i have read that if you plug any fire wire device on the way you can damage it or your fire wire ports.

where are you specting to hear your sounds? across your built-in sound card? if that's your answer, well, just select your built-in sound card in reason.

If, of course, you're lookin to hear across your fire wire card: first connect your hearphones and up the volume.

nothing has happened? well, try running your m-audio sound application —you most installed it from a disk that came with your 410 fire-wire, before you connected it— then, try monitoring by this way your 410 fire-wire's inputs, does them works correctly?

¿are you using pc or mac? maybe, you should to configure your system sound by first: in mac, by selecting the system preferences tab (left-upper corner, at the apple tab) then clicking the sound tab and select your device and fixing your problem.
pc: by clicking twice on the speaker icon, then preferences or properties tab and finding the related chann and checking the box to turn the channel on.

from reason, you only can get out the sound, but if you are trying to hear an —for example— electric guitar across reason, you will never can ('cause reason works from a midi logic, not an analog sound logic, maybe you know that, i'm just trying to cover all possibilities.

Your speakers are self-powered? are they plugged in correctly, even to the ac?

I use an "m-audio fire wire solo" and it works perfectly on a mac ibook g4

check this if you have not:

greets and good luck
