| Basically, I've done an Apologize (OneRepublic) drum and bass remix. People have listened to it on my blog and YouTube, but they want vocals! I was wondering if there was anyone here who'd know how to get vocals only, and how the hell to go about doing it! Remix: traxx.co.nr/2008/11/apologize-one-republic-traxx-project.html |

download audacity, export reason file as wav and load it into audacity, get some headphones (so you can hear the sound without your mic picking it up) then press record and sing away my friend. <3

yes, you could use audacity, that would work fine (I've used it for things like this before. Well, not vocals, but speech) but if you want to be able to keep it perfectly in time or add effects or anything, you'd really need to load it into a DAW (digital audio workstation) that is good for this, e.g. Reaper (free trial, low price) or Ableton (great, but pretty expensive).
