| if not then why? and what should be applied to each sample as basics? I have looked at the mixing down in reason info, but i am still a little confused, can anyone give me a simple breakdown of how to mix down a track and whats needed? |

Trying to tell you what's needed in your mixes is like trying to tell you what car to buy. But generally, you need to listen to each track and then apply what it needs based on what you are hearing. Track one may sound better with some compression, track two may need reverb and so on. Then when it's all done, you may need to globally add this or that. That's what mastering engineers do. I suggest that you do a google on the basics of recording. There is a ton of material out there. There are some general do's and dont's, but it's really up to you to add the necessary effects based on what the songs needs or doesn't need. Joe |
