| Me and a friend are wondering if it is possible two connect and sync (sorry for having no idea about the correct jargon) two computers so we can run the one Reason file at once whilst making changes to it. Basically we want it so my keyboard and mouse can edit the file independently from his keyboard and mouse in a live situiation (like when you and a pal team up in Time Crisis or something I guess). Any ideas, help or suggested alternate ways of achieving this would be much appreciated. *Edit: I was orignally thinking of having two mouse pointers on one screen but this seems possible. Is there are way we can connect our computers via midi to ensure that our independent Reason files would always have perfectly matched tempos? ooh good question, well you can have 2 keyboards in a live set up, that's pretty easily established, dunno if 2 mice would end up causing problems, you can definatly sync to external midi and get reason to follow an external clock but I think you'd need two copies of the file running on two seperate, albeit synced pcs. In a live situation you have a master keyboard that follows the focus of the project (where you click) and the other keyboard can be locked to a particular instument. I doubt that you will ever get 2 people having complete, independant control of the same version of reason runnig on the same PC, that would be way too impractical if you ask me. |

Yeah the more I looked around on the internet the more it seemed impossible to have two mouse pointers on one monitor (this would make life so easy tho). Is there are nice website you can point me to that will tell me how to go about syncing the two computers to a clock? Thank you! |
