I have reason 4 and an Akai MPD24 (which is a midi controller not a sampler) and i am finding it really hard just getting started. I dont have a midi keyboard as of yet though.

Basically i need to know how to assign samples to the Akai, and be able to play them into the sequencer.
It's so hard, if someone could run me through it i'd appreciate it alot.

what your going to need to do is use REX files, in Dr Rex.. or use NNXT to assign stuff to the pads..
I have an axiom49.. and what i do to use my pads is i actually use Recycle which is something you might want to look into..
Recycle takes wav files and lets u place Slice markers at whatever points you want to in the wav file.. Once you place the markers you can save the file as a REX file, then open it in Dr Rex in reason, and voila! Your pads will play each slice starting at where your markers where placed...
