| I just bought an old copy of reason (3.0) from a friend, and everything seemed to setup correctly. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to record anything into the sequencer. I can't record sequences using something like redrum, nor can i record myself playing redrum or one of the synths or samplers using my midi keyboard. I hit the record button, the track is selected with the red dot, but nothing I play is recorded. Has anyone seen this issue before? I've been using Ableton up to this point. I'm a huge fan of its sequencing, composing and improvising capabilities, but I decided to give Reason a try because I like the synths and samplers. If i can't get recording to work in Reason, can I use its modules as plugins for Ableton? I've heard people talk about ReWire, but I don't know much as obviously I'm a bit of a noob here. Thanks! |

Hi, It sounds like something is not setup correctly. I've got 8 free tutorials on my site that will show you how to set the preferences up and hopefully get you up and running. Maybe worth a look if you get chance. Matt. www.reason4tutorial.com
