Do you have any other controller to plug in and try? Or, can you try your keyboard on another computer, maybe a friends? Or, do you have another sequencer program to plug into besides Reason? You have to try and isolate the problem. Go back, undo the keyboard from Reason and reinstall it. If that doesn't work, try different drivers. Do you have another cable to try? The hookup you described should work, midi out into usb to midi, and then usb to your computer. Joe |

Joe is absolutely right with his suggestions, those may help you out. Quote:
The first thing I would do, as joe suggested is reinstall the drivers for your usb to midi interface, if you can. |

i've already tried reinstalling drivers and installed new drivers, no difference... i really don't understand, i had an old yamaha calvino keyboard that worked fine, but this one just doesn't cut it, i don't think its damaged or anything, something just isn't working properly, are there any other things i should change in reason, like in the preferences?

Well, if the other keyboard worked, then it's your mk-4902. The only other thing I can think of is to reset the keyboard. If you have a manual, it should tell you what to do. If you don't, then search for it on the net. I was having problems with a controller the other day. I reset it to default and it worked fine after that. Joe |
