Default e-toms and Reason

Hi,

I play E-Drums. I use Reason instead of an external drumcomputer. In principle it works. I can play my e-drums and reason plays the samples i want. In opposition to my external drumcomputer i have problems with the sound. I guess i can solve this problem with some settings, but i am not yet experienced in setting this software.

When i use the external drumcomputer the sound is always very clear. When i use my edrums with reason drumcomputer the sound is clear when i hit the rim of the E-tom (roland pd-8) but it rattles / clanks when I hit the e-tom extensively with the side of my drumstick. My first try was to reduce the gain but this didn't solve the problem.

Does anybody have experience in using e-toms with reason? Any hint for my why the sound ist not always clear when using reason as the drumcomputer?

Thank you very much for help!!!
:-) :-)

Yes, sometimes harder sounds are affected more than soft ones. Just a shot in the dark.

Thanks for hints.
unfortunately, i could not solve the problem.

1) Raising buffer: I cant change the buffer-size when using ASIO Audio driver. I chose another driver to test with a higher buffer size, but this didn't solve the problem.

2) release/sustain settings
did you mean the turn-switch "length"? I didn't solve the problem either.

I will try to contact Roland. Maybe they have an idea.

You can change the buffer settings in asio. In the audio window go to control panel and you will see the settings. Maybe won't solve your problem, but you might need this info in the future.
