| I play E-Drums. I use Reason instead of an external drumcomputer. In principle it works. I can play my e-drums and reason plays the samples i want. In opposition to my external drumcomputer i have problems with the sound. I guess i can solve this problem with some settings, but i am not yet experienced in setting this software. When i use the external drumcomputer the sound is always very clear. When i use my edrums with reason drumcomputer the sound is clear when i hit the rim of the E-tom (roland pd-8) but it rattles / clanks when I hit the e-tom extensively with the side of my drumstick. My first try was to reduce the gain but this didn't solve the problem. Does anybody have experience in using e-toms with reason? Any hint for my why the sound ist not always clear when using reason as the drumcomputer? Thank you very much for help!!! :-) :-) ingo hardware: intel cor 2 1,83 ghz 2 GB ram |

| Yes, sometimes harder sounds are affected more than soft ones. Just a shot in the dark. Joe |

Thanks for hints. unfortunately, i could not solve the problem. 1) Raising buffer: I cant change the buffer-size when using ASIO Audio driver. I chose another driver to test with a higher buffer size, but this didn't solve the problem. 2) release/sustain settings did you mean the turn-switch "length"? I didn't solve the problem either. I will try to contact Roland. Maybe they have an idea. |
