Default Using Reason 4 with Vocals??

hi there people im using reason 4 and have finished my song all but the lyrics. i would like to be able to input them direct, but i am under the impression you cant to that, so, is the only way to input vocals into reason by recording wavs and importing them into the sampler, then adding the vocoder and synths to the voice etc OR can you use rewire with cubase, get reason to take an output from cubase and run it through that? it seems a long way around to use vocals with reason considering theres a vocoder in it? HEELLLPPP

many thanks

yeah i thought so, but if i decided i want to alter/add lyrics when i want to then i would have to re do the entire sample. Which is a pain. So i need to find out if i can use rewire to get cubase to do the editing, and reason to do the sampling/effects over the top. thanks for the help

yes you can rewire to cubase as well as most daws, if you need one to edit the vocal sample while rewired to reason you can download reaper (google it) which is a free DAW that works with rewire.

Of course you can, if you prefer cubase then use whatever you want. he was just referring you to a low cost alternative.

well yeah you can always do that, but the editing and mastering wouldn't be nearly as good as if you did it with cubase or reaper or a daw of some sort.

what I do for my lryics make a wav file out of my reason music, load it into audacity then record lyrics. What i would like to do is then cut out the music track so i have just the lyrics and make a wav file out of the lyrics then load it back into reason. I tried loading it into the redrum but it has a time limit and the wav file for my lrycis usually exceeds the limit. Is there a way to load it into nn-xt or nn19. Im scouring the forums as we speak to figure this out. Im posting this in a new thread as well incase people dont read till the end. But if you know how to do this this might help you, then you can use the effects and mastering stuff in reason. Although other stuff might work better, this is the only free way i know.
