Default Samples of Vinyl Crackle?

I'm looking for a sample (either a .rex file or just an audio file) of record crackle for some hip hop stuff. Nothing over the top obtrusive just something you might here on some Tribe records. Also, decently long so you can't notice that it's a loop.

http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/vinyl/

Awesome plugin for your DAW. And it's free.

This is awesome indeed. But is there anything that I can use within reason? pretty much just a sound file if anyone has one. I'd record my own but i don't have a record player!

Well you could download the Izotope, record some samples and play it back in Reason. Or, Google up "sounds." I've used free sounds this way in the past.

Thanks, hope you like it, but after thinking about it, it's probably not what he's looking for. It doesn't (unless they've made changes) simulate the typical DJ scratching. It does simulate a vinyl record with scratches like a record that has a crack in it. It also simulates warping, hum, noise, and more. It will distroy a quality recording by making it sound like a 1950's record that was left out in the sun and stepped on by cowboy boots in no time flat. It's a lot of fun anyway.

Actually I am looking for that!

What I mean when I said tribe was just to have that crackling vinyl sound in the back that you hear on those old hip hop recordings (when they were using vinyl) I love the subtle aesthetic it gives the music. After trying out some samples though I'm going to abandon the idea temporarily. I'm having trouble eq and leveling it so that it sounds like part of the mix. But thanks for all the help, and I'll certainly check out that protools plugin next time I do a hip hop session in PT.

It's a pitty, that I'm not at home at this moment, because I've created a combinator patch for vinyl crackling and noise! I will upload it tonight. Hope, I don't forget it.

there's also an effect like this in digieffects A or B, on of the patches for the NNXT, but it wasn't that good.
