Sine is the right thing for subbasses. If your's doesn't work rigth for you, you should try other tones (higher or lower) and maybe add some vibrato. You must keep in mind, that subbasses are hard to play for amps and speakers. Every sound system has very different behaviour in the lower frequency range. Some frequencies you might nearly not hear on your system, might blow your mind on other systems. Note: The higher your bass notes are, the better chance you have to get it played on every system.

btw: If you use sine, you don't need any filtering anymore. Sine is the most clean waveform and even cannot be filtered anymore. All you will optain from low passing a sine oscillator is, that higher notes will be more quiet.

I use the Subtractor patch "Dirty South Sub" with a couple of small tweaks to it.. It sounds amazing for almost any kind of music.. It is extremely clean.. If you PM me your email i can send you the custom patch i created.

The factory patch is in Reason Factory Soundbank/All Instruments/Bass/Synth Bass/

as iGoA said be aware of your monitors, it can be really tough with sub bass if they arent great, try using the thors wave shaper or the fold back distortion this can be good for getting very low bass to stand out more - be gentle and try and find that 'spot' that pops out of the mix - aslo try running you bass into on of the masterig combinators.

also play with the res on your low pass to 'push out' the bass more

Sub-bass is a appellation acclimated to call aural sounds beneath 90 Hz and extending bottom ward to cover the every man abundance bodies can hear, about 20 Hz. Sound systems generally affection one or added sub woofer loudspeakers that are committed alone to amplifying sounds in the sub-bass range.
