Default What tool for sampling ? (Recycle, Melodyne, other ?)

Hi everybody, hope you do fine,
I am looking for the best tool to do my sampling : beats but also cutting loops in any track possible (voice, instrument, etc.). I am using Reason4 so I want to use the samples in R4 (Dr. Rex), what tool would you recommend me ? Recycle, Melodyne, other ?
Thank you guys.

I prefer recycle.... you get a .rex file that you can put into the Dr. Rex!!! I usually use sound forge too cut the audio that i want too chop up!!!! I prefer that though, my opinion

Question More recycle ?s

I just DLed a version of Audacity (2.1.5[free]) it sort of sucks, is there a better mac based mp3 and sound file editing program that isn't too expensive?(free).

Im thinking of getting ReCycle but since I realized that I doesnt help you cut up MP3s Ive become a little skeptical. What does it really do- does it just allow you th import things you've chopped up on another program into Reason?

Been using RECYCLE now for about 2 months. Really enjoy the simplicity and power of it. Was editing loops & importing into DR. REX within minutes.

kyle: audacity is great, it's got a large amount of features (check the addons) and while the interface may seem ugly to you at first you'll get used to it eventually. If you want something better, you won't get it for free, unless you get it illegally. and don't ask aboutthat
