Well you wouldn't use MIDI which is what Reason works with. You're keyboard would need a line out which you would plug into your computer's line in, which you would record with a program like Ableton Live, which you could Rewire with Reason.

Well, I have my keyboard connected to my PC, so could you maybe help me step by step getting this to work, because my keyboard sounds better then all of the reason pianos patches. Because I dont understand the rewire part, I'm new to Reason.

That's a lot to explain. You need to get a DAW that you like and read the manual for it and then read the Reason manual to learn how to use rewire. BTW, do you have the stock Reason pianos, or do you have the refill pianos? The refill pianos sound pretty good to me. Joe |

I have the Reason Pianos Refills. They are just, too soft or something, mine sounds so much better, I have the Yamaha YPG 625. I dont even know what DAW is or rewire. I just know how to record in a piano patch and add some little effects. I really wanna learn this program, but not much stuff out there like video tutorials. There has to be a way to over ride the NN-XT so you can use your keyboard and not a patch.

| I have that program and I dont really know if I configured it right but I cant hear my piano until i hit the record button on Ableton but nothing records on either program, Ableton or Reason. And I still just hear the Reason patch. I just want to hear MY piano on the PC, there has to be a more easy way...

If u cant get a solution , and still want to use your own sounds , you could think about sampling your piano ... , maybe a bit too much work , but you should take a look at this program : http://www.cdxtract.com/samplit.php I cant tell u much about samplit , cos i never had to use it ... , i did use cdxtract from the same company ( to convert some akai discs ...) , and it works fine ... (after you can load the samples into the NNXT) Good luck ! Greetzzzzzzzz |
