| In other words, is there a way to play one instrument while observing the note data on another track of a different instrument? So far I have not been able to solve this one. Anyone know of a way to do this? james |

I tried doing this also and I don't think you can do it, because to record midi date on one track, that track has be selected in the sequencer. The only workaround I can think of is rewiring reason to a daw that does support that feature, and using the daw's midi tracks to play reason's devices.
