Downloaded from the rebirth museum the iso installer, made disk- installed app everything ok, but now it refuses to start. After the benchmark to run rebirth is done and I click ok then bang! it shuts down and crashes reason too! anyone with the same problem?

3.06 mhz water cooled 4 cores pc tuned for audio production, running vista, 4 gb Ram 2Tb internal 1 Tb external, yamaha 01x.

I don't use rebirth, but it sounds like you might have some corrupt and/or missing files somewhere. I would download it again.

Sure hope is that... Im about to just do that... I posted the question to hear out if there were some kind adjustments needed... I already config to run in XP compatibility and thought maybe some extra tuning may be needed to let it run under vista... tried standalone or rewired to different hosts and got the same behaviour everytime.

... corrupted file wouldnt abort instal process?... it should after returning a failed checksum...

You are very welcome. I'm not sure about the install process. And a reinstall may give you the same results, but it's fairly easy and that's all I can think of to try. Good luck and if it still doesn't work maybe sombody else could chime in.
