| I will try to explain as clearly as I can- my lingo is not up to snuff so bear with me. I will just say what I want to do. I'm using Reason 4.0 into Ableton Live 7. I want to use Reasons' delay effect for my Redrum. Normally in Reason, you just right click the mixer and Create>Digital Delay, then the S1 knob will control the amount of delay on your chosen Redrum instrument. How do I use the delay when I'm rewiring into Ableton? Do I have to route the delay device differently? Can't figure it out. When I do it just the way I have been, there are no differences when turning the S1 knob. Thanks bros. |

It should work this way. Check your wiring on the back side of your rack. The master output of your mixer should be routed to the hardware interface. Because the master signal contains all channels and all return channels (including your delay), this must work. Maybe your wiring between the redrum and the mixer should be checked too. You said, you use the S1-knob. I guess, you mean the knob on the redrum, not the send-knob on the mixer, right? Then you have to assure, that the send-outs of the redrum are connected to the chaining aux inputs of the mixer. |
