Default DD55 drum machine record into REASON?

I have the Yamaha DD55 drum machine and would like to record sounds directly to Reason: is is possible? Not just the drum sounds, but the other instruments that play from the unit as well.

Thanks

Easy, ust hook up the headphone output to your computers microphone jack, you might need an adapter for it to fit. Then use a program like Audacity or Soundforge to record the microphone before hitting the play button on the drum machine. I did this when I needed to get 8-track recordings on my computer.

I'd really rather record directly into Reason so I can have midi that I can actually do something with in Reason.

You can midi out of your keyboard into your sound card. Use your drum machine to trigger Redrum (or whatever). In RD drum lane 1 is midi note 34, lane 2 is 35 and so on.

I do have my keyboard connected. I can actually play sounds in ReDrum, but only the sounds that correspond to the patches loaded.

I really want to be able to play a song from the drum machine and have it recorded into Reason: drums and all other instruments that play from the drum machine's "songs".

Default Solution to DD55 to DAW...

Well, I fired up Sonar 6 and found I can do it there-- but I REALLY like Reason.

Reason is a very powerful program, and used with a DAW, it becomes even better. You're not stuck, you just have to use Reason within the confinements for which it was intended. The more use it, the more you will appreciate it.

Just rewire reason with Sonar, it should work fine.
