Im trying to record a pattern with thor with its run pattern device. So what happens is i make a pattern, have the thor lane selected, hit record while the pattern is playing and nothing gets recorded, its just a blank midi line! any ideas?

Doesn't work like that, and unfortunately, there is no option to send your sequence to track (like how you can do that with the matrix). You'll need to either input note data with a controller or by hand in a blank clip (OR hook a matrix up to thor, program your sequence, then send to track).
