I am trying to use the step sequencer in Thor but am having some trouble.

I have set the trigger on the Thor to MIDI but it changes the sound completely. When I have trigger on the step sequencer it plays all the way throughout the song not just the parts I have on the main sequencer.

Anyway around this as it seems like a fairly basic thing to want but cannot find any other options!

I think that the Thor's step sequencer is only for runs and modulation right? You can't really use it as a Matrix. At least that's what I've heard, I never really needed to use that.

Thing is I am using a pre-written MIDI part, copying what another synth is playing. I just copied it onto this Thor track. Just baffled as to why It cannot just trigger the sequencer pattern on the Thor at those exact parts. Frustrating as the sound really fits the part

I don't get, what exactly you need. Do you have a melody in the step sequencer and want it to be played only in a certain part of the song or do you have MIDI notes in a sequencer track (and whats the problem with the step sequencer then?) ?
