I have no clue what you're talking about.
perhaps if you provide a screen-shot with a more detailed explanation, i can be of assistance.
or maybe someone else understood what you meant...
wait n see.

I think I know what's going on. You wrote your whole drum line using the redrum pattern (the white buttons on the redrum). In that case you need to copy the pattern to the sequencer track. Right click on the redrum and select "Copy Pattern to Track".

I prefer not to use the patterm making feature in redrum. It's useful for those that are used to using hardware drum machines and can associate better with reason that way.

You can just write notes directly in the piano roll. Click on a little drum icon above the list of sequencer tracks.

yea i thought about doing the piano roll thing.

What happens (further explanation). I Have 2 or 3 loops in Redrum for my track. At the beggining of the track, i use one as an intro/build up. It just has hi-hats and quite snares playing. Throughout making my track, i have added new sounds into the redrum channels. Even though i never "placed" them in the loop, they play. Usually when the song is playing, you can notice the Redrum channels "preview" button light up at the top when each channel is played. It will also go through channels that are not selected in the loop. The mute button will light up.

But when i play my song, some will be muted, while others will not, even when none of them were set up to play.

what are you refferring to as the "drum roll"? The beginning of the track should only play the pattern in the top redrum.

the drum roll i think your talkin about comes in later from the DrRex loop player. Which automatically puts the roll in the edit mode of the sequencer thing.
