a controller would help you out alot as far as playing with reason ..any MIDI capable keyboard will do .. if there is a radio shack or equivelant close to you
they usually have inexpensive ones or you may look at www.sweetwater.com
this way you can play into the sequencer instead of programming ..this will also help with the groove of the piece as your music will not be so robotic or stiff ...

it's true, turns out to be much easier with a midi controller.
i don't have one and it takes me a long time to do my programming, especially considering that i usually have to fuck with the notes after so i don't get that "robotic" sound as the guy above me so elloquently put it .
