Default A few simple noob questions

1) So finally after a headache over a very simple task I found out how to get a reason beat into the sequencer as opposed to just hitting run. For this I went to edit, then copy pattern to track, gravy. Next, I marked the locaters where I wanted to put the next pattern, hmmm instead of doing this it just replaced all of pattern 1 with pattern 2, where'd I go wrong? P.s I'm using a macbook so let me know of the simplest way to paste drum tracks into the sequencer after you've programmed them in Redrum.

2) I'm trying to keep the rack as clean and simple as possible to keep songflow going smoothly. Say I want to use subtractor for more than 1 sound in the song, do I have to keep creating more and more subtractors for the more patches i need or do I just use one master subtractor? Obviously, I want different patches coming out of the subtractor to be on different tracks on the sequencer for editing purposes.

3) I realized that it's best to keep your effects connected to the mixer to use as send effects and then just route the one effect unit to various devices. Say I have a rv-7 reverb routed from the mixer to redrum and my subtractor, BUT I want different types of reverb coming out of the rv-7 to both. For instance I'd like to have gated reverb on my redrum and large hall heverb on my subtractor.

Thanks a lot for your help, I'm attempting to use the manual as much as possible for this but sometimes it seems to overlook the most simple things and go straight into making it more complicated than it needs to be for the noob!

Default Oo

1
if you are talkin about the sequencer, best way is to draw boxes an alt + drag em

to transfer from redrum rightclick an export, i dont remember the exact name of command :/

2
you create a sub for each sound

3
as i can understand you, best way is to rightclick on the mixer, an create it
the red knobs on the top is the amount of effect sent to your device, and you can have four on the mixer

if you need more effects, simply create a new mixer an repeat the process

there, a month later, but it cane xD
