Default Recording multiple takes

I know that when you loop lets say 1 bar with record on and you keep playing everything will be played back, even notes that were played the first time around. I want to know how i can keep on recording new takes each time it loops without having the previous loops recording. Im looking for something like the new alt button on the transport bar that starts a new take without having to stop playing to hit a button!

hope i was understandable, thanks!

I don't know if this can be done, it really isn't that big of a deal to stop recording, press a button and then record again. If it makes you feel any better you can assign a control to the record and alt take buttons.
