I tried to make a realistic sounding drum roll using Redrum. Course I'm not sure what type of drum roll you're after. I'm thinking a fast roll maybe like a snare drum marching roll??? I could not get a realistic fast sounding roll. It sounded more like a cinnamon roll being ground up by an outboard motor. Your best bet would be to find a drum roll in Reason. Or find a sample drum roll like a wav file and use that with Redrum. Joe |

what do you mean by using redrum with a drum roll wav file. I didnt know that redrum could use wav files. So basically i would be triggering a drum roll by hitting a midi key once?

You can load wav files in Redrum. Just open up a lane, then instead of selecting a Reason patch, open a wav file. Now of course the wav file must be ready to go. By that, I mean no long pause at the beginning. I have several drum wav files that I use in Redrum. Hope this helps. Joe |
