Not really, you can only really pitch the sample up or down.

Sound forge can timestretch, I just don't remember how lol. I think you have to highlight the audio section and look through the plugins till you find the timestretch one, or it might be labled pitch change or something.

Lol I dont remember much about that program, anyway what's important is that soundforge CAN do it just search on google or youtube.

In SF 6.0 you go to "process" and scroll down to time stretch. You are limited as to how much stretch. Too much gives you an echo effect.

You can use Recycle to change the tempo of a loop.
Take a look at this and it will give you an idea of what it can do:

Also, if i remember correctly, i think that there is a tutorial in the recycle documentation that walks you through how to slice a loop and change its tempo with DrRex.

Yes you can change the tempo of a loop or sample, but you cant really timestretch it, which sounds strange.

You're really just setting chop points in the sample, and when you set the tempo in recycle it just changes the amount of time each chop is triggered.
So you're not really stretching the sample. Of course recycle is still for useful and is a great loop slicing app.

You're just sort of editing the amount of silence between each beat. time stretching is where you shorten the length of a loop without affecting pitch.
