Make sure you have a mixer in there and the patchings are all correct, the first time I rewired Reason to another host I made this mistake

He must have a mixer set up because he's getting sound on the first patch, but not the second. Or at least that's what I think he meant . Never heard of that problem before. Go into preferences and make sure that everything is set up right. Also, it could be the settings on your keyboard. I dunno. Joe |

Maybe, but probably not. You can plug a device directly into the hardware interface which is what I was doing. So like, you could go redrum -> hardware interface and then if you put in say, a subtractor, it won't connect to anything and make no sound. We shall see lol xD

Yes, I didn't think of that. Good point. Joe |

Yeah, that's definitely what's going on. You have to make a mixer, but people usually create a mastering suite before that for... mastering.

yeah -- it is possible to get sound out of one device without a mixer if it's plugged into the hardware interface anyway, when you add a new device or when you are fiddling around, be sure that you midi is targeted to that device -- a quick way to tell is using the transport panel -- midi is highlighted on the track it is directed to |
