Default using reason live

i'm a newbie to reason but im gonna be backing up a singer/guitar player in a show and i was wanting the piano sounds on my yamaha MO8 keyboard to sound more realistic. i wouldnt mind using reason pianos live but the delay makes playing unbearably hard. is there any way to get around this or does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have your sound card set to asio? If not, do so.

In Reason: edit>preferences>audio>audio card driver.

It will most likely be the solution to your problems. From what I understand it opens up more channels and helps with latency issues.

Download ASIO4ALL if you haven't already. That takes all of the hassle out of it. Just select ASIO4ALL in the soundcard options. asio4all.com
