Default Wrong notes being assigined from midi keyboard

Hey everyone, new guy here.

I got my first midi keyboard yesterday (M-Audio KeyRig 25).

I finally got some time to play with it today...I hooked it up to reason, got everything figured out, and it seemed to work.

However, let's say I played a long C note. When I went into "Arrange Mode", the note was listed as Bflat. F is listed as E. Everything is being recorded in reason as one step lower.

I'm 99% sure this is because of my keyboard, because it didn't do this when I was using Bome's Mouse Keyboard.

Any ideas? This is really stumping me.

Thanks.

This actually happened to me with my axiom 25 once (except all notes were being recorded a note higher in the editor). I have no idea what causes it, maybe it's common in maudio devices? Is there a hard reset option for your controller? If so try that.

No reset. I tried restarting the keyboard. I'll try restarting the computer and see if that works.

If that doesn't work, you can also try using another music app and see if that one records the midi data incorrectly too.

No luck. I don't have another app, either.

Fixed.

There is a transpose button on the keybaord, but it is VERY unintuitive. It's the same button as the octave button...and I'm still not entirely sure how I fixed it, but it works!

Here's another quick question...my keyboard is semi-weighted which actually can lead to some pretty anoying results when I'm not looking for dynamics.

Anyone know a way to not let reason recognize the differing volumes I am playing?

I always love me some semi weighted keys lol.

I'm not sure you can do that, I think the only way is to go back into the editor after recording and adjusting the velocity.

If you have a control surface it might be best to automate a control surface to the dynamics. I've done that before once or thrice.

On the keyboard, set the velosity all the up.
