EDIROL PCR-M30: controllers work, keys don't

Hi, I successfully installed a used PCR-M30 I bought on my computer and Reason 3.0 detected it. If I assign the keyboard to a device (a synth) controllers on the keyboard correctly change controller values in Reason, but if I press the keysI hear no sound.
Is it possible that the keys stop to work, while knobs, faders and buttons work?
Is there a way I can test it?

Does the "note on"-Lamp on your device light up, when you hit a key?

No, in fact it makes me wonder.

Maybe your keyboard is sending notes on a wrong channel (i am not sure, if this makes any difference for Reason). Could you try to set up channel 1 for your keyboard keys?
