Default vox compressor settings

i need help with vocal compression through reason. I'm not sure which compressor to use and what settings to have. I usually record rock songs, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I assume, you mean which Reason compressor?
I'd choose the MClass Compressor, but it's nearly impossible to give any good default settings, because compressor the best settings always depend on the source material. All I could say is, that I'd choose short attack and release times for vocals.

Yea no one can really tell you the settings.....just point you in the right direction.

Your best off learning how a compressor works (if you don't already know) and then just practice with it.

If you havn't got a good pair of monitors then then your gonna struggle a bit IMO.

I totally agree with the above, but for starters you could set the threshold to around -19 with a short attack and release. Remember, the more input and less output, the more the effect.
