Using an MPC to control reason....HELP

im trying to midi up my MPC 2000XL as a controller for reason.....i have a midisport uno MIDI to USB converter.....i have it connected properly and i get a midi in signal but not an out....what settings do i need to set the MPC to so reason can recognize it as a controller...if anyone knows the answer to this query please help your boy out....much appreciated!!
