Default Stem track?

I need to burn seperate tracks onto a CD using Reason and I need to know what the term "stem track" means. Anyone?

If someone is requesting for you to do this they probably want you to solo and export each individual instrument (or sequencer track) of your song.

That's what I thought. No, someone I know needs to split his song into "stem tracks" so that they can be remixed by someone else. I said that each drum mic should be exported as an individual track, but I wasn't sure whether they would be stem tracks? I guess it could be bad to export each individual mic track.

Yeah, it'd be best just to export the drums as one wav file. When exporting each sequencer track as a wav file, remix projects get really big. So he should rar up the whole folder and burn on a cd, or upload through msn.
