There's no CV input on the back for something like that, so I'd say no. Also, I even tried slapping it in a combinator to trick it, and then use the CV values from the matrix on the combi but I couldn't get it to work. I might be overlooking something but I'd say that it's just not going to happen

As far as i understand you can not do it with matrix. But why not try and load the rex file into NNXT or NN19 and then use the matrix to play it back.
I have not tried this because i'm on a computer that does not have Reason on it, but it may work.
Matt.

i'm not sure if this would work as i'm not at my computer with reason running -- could you do this in a combi:

set up the matrix and the dr. rex in a combi -- obviously set up whatever effects you want to the dr. rex and put it audio out on the combi -- then take the matrix cv out for gate and bring it to rotary 1 -- then use the programmer to set rotary one to control the slice playback on the dr. rex (this is what i am not sure -- not sure if this is a possible parameter to control on the combi) --

anyway, if this does work, you could set the parameters to play across the slices -- draw a gate pattern in the matrix, and as the gate changes over time, it will send different signals to rotary 1 that would trigger different sampes in the dr. rex -- i am guessing that it might be kind of random, and to get any sort of pattern you might have to spend a lot of time, but it could be quite worth it -- again, if you can set the combi parameters for rotary 1 to control the slice that is played back on the dr. rex

now i'm curious to try this at home!

This should work, but it is much easier to just load the rex file into an NNXT like nutonik said.

LOL, he'll be taken care of. I'm trying my best to take care of all these spammers. It's kind of funny that when our only mod titancow can't moderate regularly more spammers pop up.

Anyway, I'll give him a temp infraction!
