Default Retrigger?

In my neverending quest for finding strange modulations, this one has been stumping me for a very long time.

Using dblue's glitch as a model, I've been able to recreate most of the effects in Reason with the exception of retrigger (and tape stop but that's a whole 'nother story). I understand that what it does on the vst side of things is take what's in the bufffer at that moment and replay it. Knowing that Reason can't do this really, the closest work around I've been able to get is to set a delay with 32ms or so, a relatively high feedback and control a mute switch with a remote override. It gets the job done, I guess, but it's sort of cheesy. It's still a delay and not a true buffer playback.

Does anyone have any kind of solution (barring rewiring blah blah blah, I don't want to rewire ever again, my only other host is FL and it crashes ALL the time)? I'm leaning towards it just not being possible but I was wondering if any other minds out there had some sort of a hack to get as close as possible.

Comments / suggestions / solutions appreciated! thanks again

I've rebuild a kind of Glitch in Reason, too! I did the retrigger with a delay device where I switched Feedback and Dry/Wet at the same time: When you are in "normal" mode feedback is 0% and Dry/Wet is 100% DRY. When you switch to "retrigger mode" feedback is set to 100% and Dry/Wet to 100% WET. I controlled the 2 parameters via the combinator which is around all the Glitch devices.

I never thought about creating a bypass like that, normally I had been just muting a channel on a 6:2 mixer which took all the different audio paths and combined them for the combi. I will try that today before class
