What device are you using? You should just automate the pitch control at the level you want. (right click on it - automate). |

I'm using the NN-19. I guess I don't quite get automation. I can set the pitch bend level to a certain amount, but it seems I'm altering the pitch for the entire instrument. I want it to curve in and out at a certain point.

With automation you can "draw a curve" into a sequencer track. Then the corresponding knob/fader/whatever will process through this curve, when you play the song. Just read the manual about automation. It's a very useful and important thing.

Not sure if this is what Nutts is saying, but you can right click on the pitch wheel and assign it to a controller. Then use your controller to adjust it. That being said, I agree with others that automation is the best way to go. Joe |
