Default Pitch Bending

Can anyone tell me how to bend the pitch of a note permanently? I can do it "by hand" on the sampler, but how do I make it part of the song?

Thanks.

What device are you using?

You should just automate the pitch control at the level you want. (right click on it - automate).

I'm using the NN-19. I guess I don't quite get automation. I can set the pitch bend level to a certain amount, but it seems I'm altering the pitch for the entire instrument. I want it to curve in and out at a certain point.

With automation you can "draw a curve" into a sequencer track. Then the corresponding knob/fader/whatever will process through this curve, when you play the song. Just read the manual about automation. It's a very useful and important thing.

Not sure if this is what Nutts is saying, but you can right click on the pitch wheel and assign it to a controller. Then use your controller to adjust it. That being said, I agree with others that automation is the best way to go.
