Default Choppy performance

Hey I am running reason 3.0 on a macbook. When i first installed the program it ran great, but I accidentally deleted one of the sound banks (long story), and then had to reinstall the whole program. Now it runs like crap, and i have to turn the buffer down to 128 to get it to run even close to smoothly, thus sounding awful. Anyone have any suggestions?

after reading another post I am pretty sure that the performance change had to do with a mac software update. Any one else ever experience this? I am running OS X 10.4.11 does anyone know if upgrading to leopard would solve this?

not an answer, but i just have to comment -- this is reason number 16857 that macs suck -- get thee on a pc -- if you are a smart user, it won't fuck up on you -- it's the careless users who have crashes -- so yeah, that's my two cents
