Default MPC 2500 midi problems with reason 4.0

I have my MPC recording Reason 4.0. the problem happens when i create another midi track on my MPC. I start by recording my first track with reason as my sound module. Lets say track 1 (on my MPC) is on channel 1 and its a piano. Then i create a second module in reason using the Thor synth. Well what happens is that the notes that was recorded on track 1 with the piano is now being played by the Thor synth on track 2 (on the MPC)
I don't understand how this is happening. I have each module on different channels in reason and i assign those same channels to each track on my MPC. Why are the seperate channels playing the exact same notes?? I am so frustrated. Please help. Thanks.
