| Now the problem....... on matrix sequencer I select copy pattern to track.... i see the notes copied to the track but when the song plays over them, there is no sound, there is only sound when i "run" pattern on sequencer itself.... also pressing the notes on the keys on the matrix actual song track makes no sound.. So I read reason help guide... apparently on the track list, out column I need to connect the matrix to the right instrument...... I can find no such "out column" pop out menu, as described in help contents.... i only find channels...... I try setting matrix and subtractor instrument to same channel but it has no effect. So how do I connect my matrix pattern sequencer to an instrument, so that I can just use the actual song notes to create melodies and make proper songs...... also how can I create a pattern that connects to multiple instruments...... would the spider work with the matrix pattern squencer's gates or is spider splitter only for audio signals? |

Can't understand why the matrix isn't working, I just created a subtractor added the pattern sequencer, made a kiiler pattern The run button starts automatically on the pattern sequencer. Have you got it in a combinator or not? Make sure you have got it all wired up properlly (which it does itself anyway), you have copied to the correct track and haven't got anything on mute. Really you should use a pattern lane like you can for the ReDrum. Right click on the track go to "create note pattern lane" then draw in the patten using the tools in the top toolbar A1 A2 A3 A4....... |

Hi, So you have created a matrix pattern and you want to send that info to the sequencer to control the subtractor? Is that correct? If it is, then all you have to do is select the subtractor track in the track list BEFORE you right click on the matrix and 'copy pattern to track'. This means that the midi info will go into the subtractor track. You can then delete the matrix device if you wish. Hope that helps. Matt.

Thanks for replying. I was having the same problem. I had forgotten to use the subtractor in that way. You just saved me hours of headache. That is a strange little quirk about the Matrix/Subtractor. |
