Angry MPC features in reason....

I am an avid MPC user...I use reason quite a bit as well....if you're familiar with reason and an MP then i hope you can help me....if you're on an MPC and in the parameters section you can change the overlap of the sample to either poly, mono or note off. in reason when you load a sample, it's on a setting similar to note off. when ever u release the keys, the sample stops. is there a way that i can change this setting in reason so that if i press the sample on the key, it plays the sample the whole way thru?? i know this isn't that big of a deal but the way i sample on an MP really utilizes the mono and note off features. i's love to be able to do this in reason, as i am about to get rid of the akai. if anyone knows the answer to this question, it'd be much appreciated. thanks---Chase Moore

This (I think) was brought up the other day. Someone (can't remember who) suggested that you set the release to the max. Or, you could hold down the sustain pedal on your keyboard.

Use an NN-XT to play the sample, and set the release parameter on the A.D.S.R. to maximum.
If you take a little bit of time to learn everything that the NN-XT can do then i'm pretty sure that you will find that it can be just as good as the MPC.
