Default Thor pitch changes

I am using the Thor, and I am using the step sequencer. I have two questions.

One being, how can i change the pitch of the entire sequence of steps besides the note of each single step, or pitch bend. Like how with the subtractor you can change the octaves and semitones.

Second, can I transport the sequence of steps onto the sequencer window? Like cut and paste style (as in not completely recreating the sequence yourself).

Sorry if it's a bit confusing.

thankyou

edit: By the way, titancow, I just heard your song on the what your working on thread, your first reply. That is the most brilliant thing I have ever heard.

K, I might not have understood so if I totally missed the mark I apologize.

When I initialize the patch and right click -> random sequencer pattern, I can use the octave and semi controls on osc one to manipulate the overall highness or lowness of the sound, including the step sequencer. I tried this on the default epic poly patch and it worked but only when you check off the box for midi in the trigger section up top.

As for copying the thor step sequencer to track, no, I don't think it's possible. However, if you wanted to hook up a matrix to thor, program that, I know you can dump those patterns to track. Just an idea I guess. Hope this helps

Alright, what the heck, Ive tried using that before and on the basic epic poly or gangsta lead it works perfectly, but on this trancey synth I have it always distorts it out, makes it kindof make a throaty warbley sound. Its also connected to a scream 4 distortion unit.

edit: Nope its not even connected to a scream 4, just when I screw around with the analog pitch or octave it makes the sound so weird.

edit: Heres a picture of it, its the lead synth. Maybe it has something to do with the routing. Its only connected to the mixer, nothing else.

edit: bah you waffle images.

Completely different question that just came up, when you put thor on 1 shot on the sequencer, how do you trigger it to go. and then make it trigger again...say...6 bars later?

I tried 16 S Sequencer run mode automation, but it only plays once, cuts out, and doesn't play again. It DOES go back up to 1 shot, but it wont actually play. It just sits on whatever note it left off at.

Everytime you play a note (from an external source like Matrix or a sequencer track), the step sequencer will be triggered again.

Maybe there are more OSCs used for this patch. Then you have to assure, that you raise or lower their tune in sync (example: if you raise OSC1 by one semitone, you have to to the same with OSC2 and OSC3).

I tried exactly that, I had the 1 shot cut to off under automation, and there was one bar drawn on the sequencer window. Then I had the automation go back to 1 shot and had another note drawn but it didn't play...

yeah, sorry, I was wrong. Don't exactly know, how 1 shot mode works. found just the following out: setup a mod matrix entry with Note-Gate as source and stepsequencer-trigger as destination with 100%. now turn off the "trigger"->"step seq" option on the top side of Thor. Now it will restart running on every note. disadvantage is, that you cannot use the step seq for triggering new notes then (but you can do the same effect via the mod matrix)
