Hey guys!

I'm new to software based music so bare with me - there's quite a bit to learn!!

Well, I don't have an ASIO soundcard so I dowloaded the ASIO4ALL 2 driver to use with my onboard soundcard, or whatever it is (Realtek high definition something something...) I made it work in Reason so I wouldn't get a high latency using my kontroller... so far so good.

What bothers me is that when I'm using reason I don't get any sound outside the program (youtube, movies) only inside reason! So if I'm wathing a tutorial on youtube while Reason is running I don't get any sound from youtube - is this normal or have I made som mistake somewhere?

This, unfortunately, is totally normal. There is nothing you can do about it except use two sound devices (ie internal sound card for websites/youtube and an external interface/card for working in Reason).

That might not even be totally correct, I never tried using two devices simultaneously but I can assure you that you're not doing anything wrong, it's just how it goes to my knowledge

Using two sound sources is no problem. Set Reason to run from the sound card and your other media will play (using asio) with Reason simutaneously.
