| I'm new to software based music so bare with me - there's quite a bit to learn!! Well, I don't have an ASIO soundcard so I dowloaded the ASIO4ALL 2 driver to use with my onboard soundcard, or whatever it is (Realtek high definition something something...) I made it work in Reason so I wouldn't get a high latency using my kontroller... so far so good. What bothers me is that when I'm using reason I don't get any sound outside the program (youtube, movies) only inside reason! So if I'm wathing a tutorial on youtube while Reason is running I don't get any sound from youtube - is this normal or have I made som mistake somewhere? thanks! |

This, unfortunately, is totally normal. There is nothing you can do about it except use two sound devices (ie internal sound card for websites/youtube and an external interface/card for working in Reason). That might not even be totally correct, I never tried using two devices simultaneously but I can assure you that you're not doing anything wrong, it's just how it goes to my knowledge |

Using two sound sources is no problem. Set Reason to run from the sound card and your other media will play (using asio) with Reason simutaneously. Joe |

Yes but that defeats the purpose of having asio...
