Default Need advice for making beats in ReDrum

So, I've been using reason for about 4 or 5 months now, to the point where the stuff im making is sounding pretty professional. I have come up with some pretty pimp tracks, but my biggest weakness is PERCUSSION! i SUCK at coming up with beats, because I have no clue where to even start. I need to learn basics of making a good interesting beat. I mean, Im not an idiot I can tap out a beat on the table that i think sounds good but I need to know "The bass drum usually does __" and "The snare usually does __" and "Why not add a __" things like that. Also, if you could recommend some samples/refills to use for certain types of music, thatd be great

Please shed some of your beat wisdom!

What you need to do is listen to some drum sounds that you really like and then try to mimic those beats/sounds. Then after that you can add your own sounds and styles to change things around.

Youtube has many Reason tutorials. Type in something like "reason drum beats."
