Even if music is in the sensory organ of the maker, it can still be crap

recently i've just been trying to make electro, but I like to make chiptune (8bit) stuff as well. I'd love to try my hand at IDM/instrumental hip hop stuff.

What's happnin people, seems the appropriate thread to introduce myself. Names rendr as you can see, have been makin beats for the last few years, but really started getting stuff done properly within the last 2, rather than just fkin around saving nothin but loops that just get lost in the mist of the last computers hard drive. Mainly make drum and bass, real dark stuff preferably, but originally i was a hip hop fanatic, hence on the side i make quite a bit of that and lace down my own lyrics to most of it. I use a powerbook with reason 3, which i use mostly for keys and pads and synths, etc, and sync it with an akai mpc1000(jjOS2), which i use for samples and drums mostly and whatever else i record when i'm out and about(i'm a lover of sound sourcing stuff myself). I also use an m-audio keystation 88 pro keyboard and an akai mpd16 midi pad controller. I like to record and bounce my stuff into reaper, but occasionally i use logic on the mac, or sonar on a seperate pc i have. Will probably use just sonar for this purpose in the future when i upgrade to a mac that's able to run bootcamp. I look forward to learning and sharing with you all! Rendr. |
